Who answers your message

Messages sent through our contact page are read and answered by the people who run the store. There is no queue of scripted replies and no bot writing on our behalf. If a question needs a proper answer rather than a quick one, we would rather take a little longer and get it right.

How we handle questions about an order

Send your order number and the email address you used at checkout, and we can open the order and see exactly what our records show. We will tell you where things stand in plain language, including when the honest answer is that we are waiting on someone else. If something has gone wrong on our side, we say so and we sort it out. If the answer depends on a carrier or a supplier, we will say that too, rather than inventing a date to make the reply feel tidier.

How we describe our products

Every listing is written to be accurate before it is written to be appealing. Dimensions are the real dimensions. Materials are named for what they are. When a piece is smaller than it looks in a styled photograph, the measurements on the page are the thing to trust, and we would rather you read them than be surprised by the box. Natural materials vary, so grain, glaze and weave differ a little from item to item, and we treat that as something to mention rather than hide.

When we do not know

If you ask us something we cannot answer, we will tell you that instead of guessing. That applies to stock, to timing, and to anything a supplier has not confirmed to us. It is a simple standard and we hold to it.
